Mariam Darus is a Professor in Indonesian Civil Law graduated from Faculty of Law, University of Gajahmada in Jogyakarta. Currently serves as the Managing Partner of MD & P. Her years of experience in legal practice encompass a wide range of business and corporate negotiations and transactions.
In addition, Mariam Darus is a member of the Indonesian National Arbitration Board (BANI) and has presided in many arbitration cases concerning commercial disputes. She has also been appointed as scholar for many Indonesian legal reforms, namely the drafting of New Contract Law (in conjunction with ELIPS project, Indonesia’s Civil Law Project). She is experienced as expert witnesses in and outside the country. She also lectures at the Phd Graduate School of University of Indonesia in Jakarta and the University of Padjadjaran in Bandung.
Mariam Darus actively represents a large number of international corporations and major Indonesian companies. She advises on the legal and strategic aspects of their business in Indonesia and elsewhere, and on the regulatory and policies on investment, mining, oil & gas, the capital market and financial sectors. She is also admitted to the Bar of Indonesian and a member of Indonesia Bar Association.

Mr. Septiansyah Q Riza joined MD&P as an a Partner in January 2009. Before joining MD&P, he worked for other law firms, an oil company, and for Bank PDCFI Tbk as Corporate Secretary. He is a law graduate of the Faculty of Law, University of North Sumatera (USU) majoring in Civil Law. In 1989 he earned his LL.M degree in the University of Hull, England, majoring in International Business Transactions Law Studies. In MD&P, he has been involved in matters of corporate law, banking and labor dispute as well as in litigation work. He is also a licensed attorney and capital market consultant.
